I was truly blessed to spend the past weekend attending one of the beginning Access Consciousness classes: Foundation (prerequisite: the Bars). While my exposure to Access Consciousness in teleseminar interviews showed me that large amounts of energy could be moved with the processes and techniques of Access, attending this Foundation class definitely took it to a much higher level.
Foundation is the beginning process through which you can begin unlocking all the learned patterns of thought and behavior which limit you and your choices. One of the ideas which really hit home with me during this class is how resistance is futile. Anything you resist in life manifests greater in your life because your thoughts become stuck there and you have locked it into place! You have formed a judgment about the situation and it now becomes unchangeable and stagnant. Have you ever noticed that when you fight something, the problem grows greater? Same principle.
Another idea from Access Consciousness is how any and all judgment becomes limitation in your life. When you decide that something is wrong, bad or evil, you make a conscious choice to adhere to a certain code of living. The irony here is, who decides wrong, bad and evil? Your parents? Society? God? If this is true, why do the standards change so often? Beliefs will vary from culture to culture and even within subcultures. (For those who believe God sets the standards, why do various denominations believe such different things? Is your denomination the only "right" one? Are you the only ones who can be saved?) I believe Jesus was a miracle worker. How was he able to do it? He did not limit himself to what he allowed to exist or happen. In other words, he formed no opinions or judgments about the problem he was working on! He allowed for all possibilities, and from the possibility miracles happened!
During class, we did an amazing amount of work clearing these energetic blocks. For me, I began to realize how little I allow myself to actually receive from the Universe. Somehow I had locked into place the idea that I have to do everything for myself because it is not okay to accept help and receive from others! I actually believed it was not okay to be needy and because of that I would never allow myself to be anything less than independent and strong! I worked on my own personal income as well as my family's income as a whole (because, yes, I even limited what I was willing to receive from and for my husband!). The really cool thing is, yesterday was my first day after the Access classes finished. Yesterday was also the day we learned my husband's business had been given nine new stores (which basically means more income for us!). I am still pinching myself in wonderment!
All this processing reminds me of this Yoda quote. There is so much limiting belief I have learned. There is so much I need to unlearn. For me, Access Consciousness tools have opened up my world to many new and exciting possibilities. I feel much more light and expanded than I ever dreamed possible! How does it get any better than that? What else is possible?
