Today is not going as planned. I was going to share some of my understandings on how food choices can change your energy, but I feel really compelled to talk with you about the importance of connecting within to glean the wisdom and truth you already carry deep inside yourself. Time is growing short, and we must do everything we can to develop the resources which are available to us so we are able to meet the challenges of a changing world.
I have heard many people say that meditation is a waste of time--that you can't possibly help the world if you are selfishly spending time on yourself. These same people are of the "DO" mentality--we've got to DO everything we can out in the world in order to save it. My question is, if you are so busy DOing, are truly spending your time pursuing your life's purpose? Maybe you are. Then again, maybe you are just spending your time DOing what your mind/the world has taught you is a "good" purpose. You cannot know for sure if you do not spend at least some time searching for that truth within.
The way life is supposed to work is just the opposite of the DO first, ask questions later approach. You spend a little time going within to find your truth/your connection to God. This is key! (You can use one of my simple approaches by following this short process.) Once you have searched within and found your God connection, and whole new world opens up to you. You begin to see who you are and acknowledge your unique gifts and talents. You also become inspired as to how you can use these gifts and talents to benefit the world. This is the point where you begin to actually act on the wisdom your inner search has given you!
What makes this sort of DOing different? Your inner connection helps you see how the piece that is you fits into the whole puzzle of life. Your actions become much more powerful and effective because you have taken the time to really search out what the world needs and how you can fulfill your role.
Searching within is not the selfish endeavor some people try to make it out to be. It is the way to expansion, the way to wholeness! Searching within will show you the best, most effective approach to any given situation. Take the time to get to know yourself and your connection to the Universe! Your life will never be the same!
